Odisha Plus II admission 2026 to begin on May 26 through SAMS portal

Bhubaneswar, May 23: The Directorate of Higher Secondary Education (DHSE), Odisha, has announced that the online admission process for Class XI for the 2026-27 academic year will start on May 26 through the Students Academic Management System (SAMS) portal.

As per the official notification issued on Saturday, students can submit the online Common Application Form (CAF) until June 30 by 11:45 pm. The first merit list for selection will be released on July 8 at 11:45 am.

Admissions will be offered in Arts, Science, Commerce, Vocational, and Upashastri streams across Higher Secondary Schools affiliated with the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha, and Shree Jagannath Sanskrit University.

Students who have cleared the High School Certificate (HSC) examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha, or any equivalent examination, are eligible to apply.

Candidates selected in the first phase can complete their admission process between July 9 and July 15. The second merit list will be published on July 23, while the spot admission selection list is scheduled to be announced on August 6.

According to the notification, the new Plus II academic session will begin on July 23.

Applicants have been advised to read the Common Prospectus carefully before filling out the CAF on the SAMS portal. They should also keep printed copies of the application form and payment receipt for future use.

The application fee has been set at Rs 200 for students belonging to the General, SEBC, and OBC categories, while SC and ST applicants will need to pay Rs 100.

However, Persons with Disabilities with 40 per cent or more disability, transgender candidates, and orphan students will be exempted from paying the application fee.

The DHSE also stated that all original documents submitted by students will be verified at the selected Higher Secondary School during the admission process.
