Berhampur, June 21: A peon of Aska Sub Treasury, Kashinath Panda and junior clerk of SR High School, Susanta Kumar Mishra today caught red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000.
According to reports, Panda and Mishra were caught red handed by officers of Vigilance Berhampur Division, while demanding and accepting undue advantage of Rs 5,000 from one Gopal Krushna Dalabehera, Asst. Teacher of S. High School in Dharakote of Ganjam district in order to prepare his arrear salary bill.
The bribe money of Rs 5,000 has been recovered and seized Panda, said vigilance officer.
The residences of the accused Mishra at Pitala and Panda in Aska are being searched and a case has been registered in this connection.
