Odisha: Over 41 Lakh Farmers to Get CM-KISAN Assistance Tomorrow

Bhubaneswar, September 3:The Odisha Government will disburse financial assistance under the CM-KISAN (Rabi 2026-27) scheme to farmers across the state tomorrow(Janmashtami)

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will hand over the assistance at a special state-level ceremony at OUAT Krishi Shiksha Sadan in Bhubaneswar.

More than 41 lakh small and marginal farmers, Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs), and landless farmer families are expected to benefit from the scheme. Over Rs 833 crore will be transferred directly into the beneficiaries’ bank accounts through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system.

The scheme is aimed at strengthening the financial security of farmers, promoting self-reliance and encouraging agricultural activities across Odisha.

Deputy Chief Minister and Agriculture and Farmers Empowerment Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, along with other dignitaries, will attend the state-level programme.

At the same time, other ministers will participate in district-level programmes across the state and distribute CM-KISAN instalments to beneficiaries.
