
Bhadrak, Sept 14: In a shocking incident, a nine-year-old girl was reportedly abducted by miscreants from Radhanathpur Adia village under Chudamani Marine Police limits in Odisha’s Bhadrak district last evening.
As per reports, the abduction took place near the village square in Basudevpur under Chudamani Marine Police limits following which local authorities launched an intense search operation to trace the girl.
According to eyewitnesses and family members, the incident occurred at around 7:30 PM when the two young daughters of Sadanand Mallik were casually walking near the road by their village.
Later, Sadanand’s elder daughter reported that the assailants arrived on a motorcycle and targeted her younger sister, abducting her by force before speeding away. She then ran home in tears and immediately told her mother about the distressing incident.
Their mother, who is hearing impaired, was unable to react immediately and, in her panic, sought help from a nearby neighbor. Overcome with grief, she reportedly fainted and began crying uncontrollably.
Meanwhile, concerned villagers sprang into action, grabbing flashlights and sticks to search the surrounding areas in a desperate effort to find the missing child, alerting the local police.
Upon getting the information, Bhadrak Sadar Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Bichitranand Sethi formed four special teams and launched a search operation to trace the girl
