Balangir, Aug 17: In a tragic incident, a married woman was found dead at her in-law's house under mysterious circumstances in Turekela locality of Odisha’s Balangir district on Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as Santoshini Majhi and the incident has been reported from Mahulbahali village under Turekela police limits.
As per reports, Santoshini was found hanging from the ceiling of her house. Upon getting the information, police arrived at the spot and brought the body down. Subsequently, it was sent for post-mortem.
Though the exact reason behind Santoshini's death is yet to be ascertained, her father has alleged that she was murdered. He later filed a complaint with the Turekela police based on which the cops have detained Santoshini's husband.
Further investigation into the matter is underway.
