Muniguda, Feb 22: A Maoist banner was found put up near Hanumantapur bus stand under Chandrapur police limits in Rayagada district on Tuesday morning.
The posters were released in the name of Bansadhara-Ghumusar divisional committee of the outlawed outfit.
Through the poster, the Red rebels have threatened the people who are working as police informers to surrender before them on February 25.
The members of the outlawed extremist group also threatened to kill the ‘police informers’ in they failed to surrender before them on the said date.
On being informed, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel reached the spot and tore off all the posters and started an investigation into the matter.
The recovery of Maoist posters has sparked off tension among the villagers.
Worth mentioning, At least seven Maoist posters were found put up at different places in Dimiriguda village under Ambadola police limits in Rayagada districton February 20.
Through the poster, the Red rebels said that Shankar Patra and Hemanta Patra from Kandhamal’s Belghar were killed for informing the police about their movements.
