Bhadrak, July 11: In a tragic incident, a 55-year-old man died and several people including his son were injured after being attacked by a bull in Basudevpur block of Odisha’s Bhadrak district today morning.
The deceased has been identified as Nepali Jena and the incident has been reported from Chandia village in Brahmanigaon panchayat.
As per reports, the bull was sleeping in-front of Nepali’s home when he tried to chase him away. However, the agitated bull attacked Nepali and dashed him into the ground multiple times.
Despite his efforts to defend himself, Nepali could not survive the attack and died.
Nepali’s son, Manas, along with some villagers, tried to intervene, but the bull turned on them, injuring several people.
The villagers eventually managed to rescue Nepali and rushed him to a nearby hospital, where he was declared dead.
Upon getting the information, police arrived at the hospital and seized the deceased’s body. Subsequently, it was sent for post-mortem.
