Bhubaneswar, July 27: Nalco police in Odisha’s Angul district arrested a man for allegedly posting his wife’s private videos on social media platforms after she reportedly expressed her inability to bring dowry.
The accused has been identified as Dipu Sahu (25), a resident of nearby Kejenga village from neighbouring Chhattisgarh today.
According to the police, Sahu married a local woman about two years ago.
However, a few months after their wedding, the couple started having marital dispute when Sahu allegedly pressured his wife to bring more dowry from her parents.
When she said she couldn’t do that, he reportedly shared her private videos on social media following which the woman filed a complaint with Nalco police.
Based on the complaint, Nalco police registered a case and launched an investigation into the matter.
Acting on a tip-off, a team from Nalco police conducted a raid in Chhattisgarh and arrested the accused.
