Odisha: Man arrested for duping Rs 5 crore on pretext of yearly mobile recharge

Cuttack, Mar 16: Sadar police today arrested one person for allegedly cheating Rs 5 crore on pretext of yearly mobile recharge on discount. Police today arrested the accused identified as Bipra Prasad Swain. Police said that the accused formed an online company namely ‘Sangvi Enterprisers Limited’ at 42 Mouza under Cuttack Sadar police limits. “The accused collected huge amount of money by engaging agents collected huge amount of for recharge of mobile and TV.Customers after depositing the money got services for 5 to 6 months and after then such benefit got stopped. The accused had earned crores of rupees by such fraudulent way,” said an official. Police further said that the accused used to collect Rs 999 for yearly mobile recharge and Rs 1299 for recharge of 18 months. Similarly he used to charge Rs 1499 for yearly TV recharge.
