Bhubaneswar, April 13: LPG supply across Odisha remains unaffected, with ongoing efforts to ensure a steady flow of cylinders, said Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL). A total of approximately 45,000 cylinders have been distributed, and the situation is under control, with no disruptions in the regular distribution system.
Customers are encouraged to book their cylinder refills via SMS and IVR, with about 86% of bookings now processed digitally.
To further streamline the process, cylinder deliveries are being verified through digital certification, ensuring that only verified users receive their gas cylinders.
In case of emergencies, prompt actions have been taken, and updates are regularly shared through social media channels.
Despite these measures, some complaints about irregular LPG distribution have surfaced. To address this, corrective teams have been deployed to monitor distributor locations and ensure proper delivery. Ongoing verification campaigns are actively working to address fraud and irregularities within the LPG supply chain.
In collaboration with local authorities, Indian Oil and the Odisha government are taking steps to resolve these concerns.
Emergency interventions have been put in place at the state level to guarantee smooth and efficient operations.
