Odisha logs highest one-day spike, single-day tally goes past 1200

Bhubaneswar, Jan 5: Odisha saw another spike in Covid-19 cases on Wednesday with 1,216 people testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours. The state had registered 680 infections the previous day. According to the I & PR department, Khordha registered 456 positives, followed by Sundargarh 166, Sambalpur 99 and Cuttack 80 cases. Among them, 710 are quarantine and 506 local contact cases. Of 187 cases are from 0-18 years age group. (Details of local contacts will be shared by concerned District) 1. Angul: 6 2. Balasore: 2 3.
