Bhubaneswar, Apr 23: Odisha is likely to experience intense heat wave conditions along with hot and humid weather and warm nights from April 22 to 26, predicted the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday.

Orange warning:
1) Severe Heat wave condition very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Jharsuguda.
2) Heat wave condition very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Boudh, Bolangir, Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Kalahandi, Sonepur.
Yellow warning:
1) Heat wave condition very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Angul, Nupada, and Deogarh.
2) Hot and Humid Conditions very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, and Gajapati.
3) Warm Night Conditions very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Sambalpur, Sundargarh, and Bolangir.
For April 25:
Orange warning:
1) Heat wave condition very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Sundargarh, Bolangir, Boudh, Bargarh, and Sonepur.
Yellow warning:
1) Heat wave condition very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Angul, Nupada, Kalahandi, and Deogarh.
2) Hot and Humid Conditions very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, and Gajapati.
For April 26:
Orange warning:
1) Heat wave condition very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Bolangir and Bargarh.
Yellow warning:
1) Heat wave condition very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Boudh, Sonepur, Kalahandi, and Sambalpur.
2) Hot and Humid Conditions very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, and Gajapati.
The Met Department further said that temperatures have suddenly gone up in many parts of Odisha.
According to the IMD, the maximum temperature increased by around 2-3°C in one or two places in North Interior Odisha, while there was no major change in other parts of the state.
In some areas of North Interior Odisha, the temperature was 4-5°C higher than normal.
