In the women’s 44kg–48kg category, Priteesmita showcased exceptional strength and technique, lifting 63kg in snatch and 87kg in clean and jerk, totaling 150kg. Her performance not only earned her the top podium spot but also set the tone for India’s dominance in the championship. The Sports and Youth Services Department congratulated Priteesmita and wished good luck.
This Championship also serves as a direct qualification event for the 2026 Commonwealth Games to be held in Glasgow.
