Bhubaneswar, Aug 7: Odisha's Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and Deputy Chief Ministers Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo and Pravati Parida have expressed their heartfelt condolences following the passing of former Minister and Deputy Speaker of the Odisha Legislative Assembly, Bibhuti Bhusan Singh Mardaraj.
In their tributes, the leaders prayed for the eternal peace of Mardaraj’s soul and extended their support to his grieving family.

CM Majhi took to social media to express his sorrow, writing: “I am deeply saddened to learn about the demise of former Minister and former Deputy Speaker of the Odisha Legislative Assembly, Bibhuti Bhushan Singh Mardaraj. I pray to Lord Shri Jagannath for the eternal peace of the departed soul and extend my condolences to the family members. Om Shanti.”
Deputy CM Singh Deo also shared his condolences, acknowledging the significant impact Mardaraj had on Odisha’s political and social landscape. His tweet read: “Deeply saddened by the passing of Shri Bibhuti Bhusan Singh Mardaraj ji-former Minister, Deputy Speaker of the Odisha Legislative Assembly, and the Raja of Khandpara Gada. His contributions were marked by wisdom, grace, and unwavering public service. Deputy CM Pravati Parida, on her X (formerly Twitter) handle, also expressed her sadness: “I am deeply saddened to hear about the passing away of former Minister, former Deputy Speaker, and senior leader Shri Bibhuti Bhushan Singh Mardaraj. May the Almighty grant eternal peace to his soul. I extend my condolences to the bereaved family during this hour of grief.”
