Odisha: Indian Navy showcases maritime heritage & indigenous strength at Cuttack Bali Yatra 2025

Cuttack, Nov 5: Continuing its tradition of active participation, the Indian Navy has joined Odisha’s grand maritime and cultural fair — Bali Yatra 2025 in Cuttack.

The participation aims to promote the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India) while highlighting its operational prowess, technological innovation, and India’s rich maritime heritage.

A major crowd-puller at the Naval Pavilion this year is the Odisha Maritime Heritage Stall, which celebrates the State’s ancient seafaring connections and trading links across the seas. Alongside, the Know Your Navy stall offers detailed insights into naval life and provides guidance to young aspirants interested in pursuing a career in the Indian Navy.

Adding to the attraction, various units under the Headquarters Eastern Naval Command (HQENC) — including Naval Dockyard (Visakhapatnam), INS Eksila, INS Karna, and COMNETCEN (VZG) — have set up exhibits showcasing distinct facets of naval operations. These displays emphasize the Navy’s progress in indigenous shipbuilding, modern weapon systems, advanced communication technologies, and innovative engineering solutions developed under the Make in India initiative.

Through its participation in Bali Yatra 2025, the Indian Navy seeks to deepen public engagement, promote maritime consciousness, and inspire the youth to take pride in the nation’s maritime achievements.

The initiative also underscores the Navy’s enduring commitment to celebrating India’s seafaring spirit and advancing the country’s journey toward self-reliance in defence and technology.
