Odisha: IAS officer Krishan Kumar saves life of road accident victim

Bhubaneswar, May 22: A senior IAS officer and Chief Administrator of Puri Jagannath temple, Dr Krishan Kumar came to the rescue of a road accident victim, who was left unattended on Bhubaneswar-Puri Highway on Friday. Krishan picked up the distressed one himself and facilitated to admit him to Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar. Sources said, Ratnakar Pradhan who is a native of Sakhigopal area met with an accident near Uttara Square late in the evening. He was lying unconscious in a pool of blood on the road after a heavy vehicle fled hitting him. No one dared to pick him up fearing Corona infection. Meanwhile, Dr Krishan Kumar was returning Bhubaneswar, to his government residence. Krishan noticed a road mishap and found the man struggling for existence. He immediately, peaked him up, provided the essential first aid and rushed him to Capital hospital. He managed the treatment till the victim became responsive. Subsequently, Ratnakar regained his consciousness after a meticulous medical care. Then after Krishan Kumar left for his residence. ‘I am grateful for the pity of the senior IAS. My family will bow down before him for his humanity’ said Ratnakar after he felt well.
