Bhubaneswar, November 19: Odisha’s ambitious efforts to attract global investments took center stage at a mega investors' roadshow held in Singapore, where over 300 delegates, including industry leaders, investors, and members of the Odia diaspora, participated.
The roadshow, part of a four-day visit led by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and Industry Minister Sampad Chandra Swain, highlighted Odisha's commitment to positioning itself as a prime investment destination.
During an interactive session, the delegation emphasized the state’s rich natural resources, world-class infrastructure, and a highly skilled workforce. The session aimed at fostering ties with investors across the ASEAN region and received significant interest from industry representatives.
CM Majhi underscored Odisha’s readiness to lead India’s growth story, stating, “Odisha, with its rich resources and skilled workforce, is poised for transformative growth. I extend an invitation to all to join us at the 'Utkarsh Odisha – Make in Odisha Conclave 2025'.”
High-Level Discussions and Strategic Partnerships
The delegation engaged in high-level talks with Singapore’s Minister of Transport, CHEE Hong Tat, focusing on integrated multimodal logistics solutions inspired by Singapore’s advanced systems. Topics included coastal shipping and digital freight management.
In skill development, Odisha plans to deepen collaborations with Singapore’s Institute of Technical Education and Education Services (ITEES), aiming to enhance the state’s workforce capabilities.
Industry Roundtables and Key Meetings
A roundtable supported by Enterprise Singapore and FICCI explored opportunities in sectors like infrastructure, manufacturing, and IT. Prominent companies such as Agrocorp International, Aurionpro Payment Solutions, and Surbana Jurong participated, showcasing growing interest in Odisha’s potential.
One-on-one discussions with global leaders like Linde, Vena Energy, and CapitalLand focused on attracting investments in chemicals, petrochemicals, IT, textiles, and more.
Port and Logistics Development
The delegation’s visit to the Port of Singapore Authority provided insights into advanced port management strategies. Odisha aims to implement these best practices to enhance its ports’ efficiency, supporting a port-led economic growth model and positioning the state as a logistics hub.

The roadshow marks a significant step in Odisha’s journey to global prominence, as it seeks to attract investments ahead of the 'Make in Odisha Conclave 2025.'
