Odisha govt transfers Rs 386 crore to accounts of 18 lakh farmers under KALIA scheme

Bhubaneswar, May 14: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today released Rs 386 crore in accounts of 18 lakh farmers under the Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation (KALIA) scheme. The CM said that he will continue to fight for the rights of the farmers. “I have always been with the farmers and will continue to fight for their rights. We will continue to demand implementation of recommendation of MS Swaminathan Committee,” he added. KALIA or “Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation” scheme was launched by the Odisha government for farmer’s welfare in 2019.
