Bhubaneswar, Oct 7: The Odisha government announced to transfer Rs 1 to the bank accounts of eligible beneficiaries of Subhadra Yojana today to test transaction’s success.
The Rs 1 transfer will be done to ensure that money is transferred successfully to the accounts of beneficiaries and it is a continuous process, a senior official said.
"The second lot of the Subhadra assistance is all set to be released on October 9. The eligible beneficiaries of the Subhadra Yojana, who are awaiting their first instalment worth Rs 5,000 under the flagship program, will receive the amount in second phase on October 9," said Deputy CM Pravati Parida.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had launched the ‘Subhadra Yojana’ on September 17 in a grand programme in Bhubaneswar with release of first installment to beneficiaries.
This flagship program is expected to provide significant benefits to over one crore women across the state.
