Odisha govt. issues draft notification for formation of 12 new NACs

Bhubaneswar, August 16: In view of providing impetus to the Local Self Government and ULBs, the Odisha government on Saturday issued draft notification for formation of 12 new Notified Area Councils(NAC) across 7 districts.
According to the notification issued by the Housing & Urban Development(H&UD) Department, suburban towns including Pallahara in Angul district, Birmaharajpur in Subarnapur, Simulia and Basta in Balasore, Betnoti, Bangiriposi and Chitrada in Mayurbhanj,Bissam Cuttack in Rayagada, Bamra and Rengali in Sambalpur & Tihidi and Dhusuri in the Bhadrak district will be declared as NACs.
Worth mentioning, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on the 79th Independence Day announced to constitute as many as 21 new NACs across the state, aiming a robust town planning in the rural Odisha.
