Bhubaneswar, March 18: The Odisha government has approved four new hotel projects with a combined investment of Rs 318 crore, aimed at strengthening the state's tourism and hospitality sector. These projects are expected to generate employment for approximately 565 people across key districts.
Among the approved projects, Agravanshi Private Limited is set to develop a hotel in Koraput, a region increasingly gaining popularity for its picturesque landscapes and rising tourist interest. Aryapride Hotel & Convention Pvt. Ltd. will build a state-of-the-art facility in Khordha, designed to cater to business and event tourism, conveniently located near the state capital.
Additionally, Shagun Retreat will be established in Bolangir, an area known for its growing cultural and heritage appeal, while Aaramya Private Limited will bring its hospitality venture to Puri, one of Odisha's top tourist hotspots, renowned for its spiritual significance and year-round influx of pilgrims and tourists.
These projects represent a significant step toward transforming Odisha into a prime tourism destination and enhancing its hospitality infrastructure.
This investment is part of a larger push by the state government, which recently cleared 23 industrial projects worth Rs 4,510.65 crore, aiming to enhance infrastructure and create over 10,000 jobs in sectors like manufacturing and tourism, according to News on Projects
