Bhubaneswar, April 6: In a significant move, Odisha Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati, acting in his capacity as Chancellor, appointed Vice-Chancellors to 14 universities in Odisha on Monday. The appointments were made under the provisions of the Odisha Universities Act, 1989, specifically under the proviso to sub-section (1) of Section 6.
According to an official press release from Lok Bhavan, the following appointments have been made:
- Prof. Santosh Kumar Tripathy has been appointed Vice Chancellor of Fakir Mohan University.
- Prof. Arka Kumar Das Mohapatra will head Ravenshaw University.
- Prof. Chandi Prasad Nandahas been named Vice Chancellor of Utkal University.
- Prof. Sanjaya Kumar Patro has been entrusted with leading Dharanidhar University.
- Prof. Byomakesh Tripathy will take over as Vice Chancellor of Gangadhar Meher University.
The release further noted the following appointments:
- Prof. Asima Sahu has been appointed Vice Chancellor of Khallikote Unitary University.
- Prof. Sibaram Tripathy will lead Madhusudan Law University.
- Prof. Pawan Kumar Agrawal has been named Vice Chancellor of Maa Manikeshwari University.
- Prof. Mahendra Kumar Mohanty will head Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University.
- Prof. Jyotsna K.B. Routh has been appointed Vice Chancellor of Rama Devi Women’s University.
- Prof. Bibhuti Bhusan Malik will take charge of Rajendra University.
- Prof. Prabhat Kumar Mohapatra has been named Vice Chancellor of Shree Jagannath Sanskrit University.
Additionally, Prof. Hrushikesh Senapaty will be the Vice Chancellor of Vikram Dev University, and Prof. Satyanarayan Acharya has been appointed to lead Odia University.
