Puri, July 4: In a bid to enhancing tourists’ joyful experience and conserving the laws and legends involving the Shree Jagannath Temple in Odisha’s Puri, the state government is going to craft out a world-class Museum & Resource Center here to treasure & showcase the Jagannath Cult in both vintage and digital formats.
Chief Minister Odisha Mohan Charan Majhi on Friday informed that the rich spiritual & cultural heritage of the Pilgrim City Puri needs to be conserved for good, that the shrine has been lacking since centuries. The essence of the valuable resources, faiths and legends, centering the Lord Jagannath Temple, its ancient history and the reverence of Lord Jagannath are yet to be preserved in a robust way while their origins, evolutions and etymology are matters for further research.
An integrated spiritual complex embodying a historical museum, Shree Jagannath Library, Research Centre, a grand open amphitheatre and a 300-seater Auditorium with light & sound effect will be developed in Puri soon which will be a ready reference for the visitors, to gather instant information on the shrine and its valuable literatures.
