Koraput, Oct 1: Odisha government has put up four signages in Kotia on Friday. Replacing the signages placed by Andhra Pradesh at the time of the recent cyclonic storm Gulab, the Koraput district administration has put up Odia signboards in Neredibalsa, Uparasembi and Arjunbalsa village. Sources said Andhra Pradesh administration has pulled out some Odia signboards and erased some signages put by Odisha government on September 27. A few officers of Andhra Pradesh took the opportunity of the cyclone Gulab and put up Telugu signboards around Kotia group of villages while Koraput district administration was busy with clearing the debris of landslide on the NH-26. Reacting to it, the local civic bodies like Koraput Bikash Parishad and Ama Kotia outfit expressed concern and blamed the district administration. However, the district administration took it seriously and removed the Telugu boards illegally put up by Andhra government within Odisha’s periphery. At the same time, the district officials put up two Odia signboards at Neredibalsa, one at Uparsembi and one at Arjunabalsa.
