Bhubaneswar, July 25: The state government has launched a major initiative to develop the textile industry with the inauguration of ‘Odisha Tex 2025’ at the Loka Seva Bhavan Convention Hall. The event was inaugurated by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, in the presence of Industries Minister Sampad Chandra Swain and Cooperation Minister Pradeep Bal Samanta.
The summit has attracted participation from over 300 industrialists across the region. During the event, the Chief Minister is set to inaugurate six new textile and apparel parks. In addition, several Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) will be signed, expected to attract investments totaling ₹10,000 crore and create more than 25,000 job opportunities.
The primary goal of the summit is to position Odisha as a frontrunner in textile and apparel manufacturing in India. The state government views this initiative as a crucial step toward realizing its vision of a Prosperous Odisha by 2036.
