Odisha government extends doctors’ retirement age from 62 to 65

Bhubaneswar, July 21:  The state government has decided to increase the retirement age of doctors of Odisha Medical and Health Services(OMHS) cadres cadre from 62 years to 65 years. The decision to increase the retirement age was taken after a review meeting on Covid situation in the districts of Cuttack and Khordha under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. The extension of retirement age will also be applicable for allopathic Insurance Medical Officers under L & ESI Department. The CM also announced Rs 15 crore each for Cuttack and Khordha to combat the deadly virus.
