Odisha forms expert teams to visit and monitor functioning of Covid care facilities

Bhubaneswar, April 18: Odisha government today formed expert teams to visit and monitor functioning of Covid care facilities across the State. The government has constituted state level teams as well as medical college team for this purpose. The Special Secretary of Heath Department will be the chairman of the state level monitoring team in which HODs of Pulmonary Medicine, Microbiology and Anesthesiology will be the other members. The seven government run medical colleges and hospitals including SCB, MKCG and VIMSAR have been tagged for all 30 districts for this purpose. The medical college level teams will be formed by the Dean and Principal of the concerned Medical Colleges in consultation with the Superintendent of the attached hospital and HODs of Pulmonary Medicine/ Medicine, Microbiology and Anesthesiology. The teams will inspect and supervise the COVID hospitals on site in the districts tagged to them with prior information to the Chief District Medical Officers.
