Odisha: Faulty antigen kits resulted 25 students of VSSUT Covid-19 positive

Burla, Mar 2: Additional chief secretary Pradipta Mohapatra today said that the positive reports of the Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT) students shown positive due to faulty antigen testing kits. “No students of the university are positive because faulty kits were used for the Covid-19 test,” Mohapatra said. On February 27, as many as 25 students of Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT) in Burla of Sambalpur district had tested positive for Covid-19. Following which, the university had issued a notification asking the students to quarantine themselves who came in contact with the Covid-19 positive students. Physical classes for the first year students were also suspended after the 25 students tested positive for coronavirus.
