Odisha: Executive Engineer nabbed for accepting bribe

Bhubaneswar, Oct 7: The Odisha Vigilance officials on Monday apprehended an Executive Engineer of Tel Irrigation Division in Subarnapur district for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 46,000.
Jitendra Kumar Padhy, Executive Engineer was apprehended for taking a bribe of Rs.46,000 from a contractor (complainant) for clearing his pending bills, said the Vigilance in a statement.
In this connection, Sambalpur Vigilance has registered a case.
