Odisha: Drunk man kills father after argument over drinking

Dhenkanal, Feb 25: A drunkard son hacked his father to death after the father following an argument over his drinking habit in Chaulia village under Sadar police limits in the district today. The deceased has been identified as Bhagia Sahu, a resident of Chaulia village. According to the police, Bhagia’s son, Sibaram Sahu, used to consume alcohol regularly and create disturbances in the family. On Thursday, Sibaram was denied money by his father for consuming alcohol. Irate over the incident, Sibaram attacked his father with sharp-edged weapon. When Sibaram’s mother intervened to save her husband, she was also attacked by him. On being informed the police have arrested Sibaram and launched a probe into the matter.
