Bhubaneswar, January 5: The Special Task Force (STF) of the Odisha Crime Branch has on Sunday initiated an investigation into the daylight robbery of a gold jewelry shop in Jajpur district, where two persons were fatally shot by a gang of robbers, officials reported.

 The STF team visited the crime scene at Panikoli, near the jewellery shop, where the shooting occurred on Saturday. The investigation was further supported by a scientific team, which conducted a thorough examination of both the shop and the surrounding area throughout the day, according to a police spokesperson.
