Bhubaneswar: The much-awaited elections to various posts of the Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) will begin at 11 am and continue till 2 pm in Cuttack today.
Elections to the posts of president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer and apex council member would be held.
Jailed former OCA secretary Ashirbad Behera’s son Sanjay Behera and Mangala Club’s Nabaranjan Patnaik seem to be front runners for the coveted secretary post.
Former OCA treasurer and Union Sporting Club secretary Pradeep Chauhan, Boudh District Cricket Association’s Pankaj Lochan Mohanty are in the fray for president’s post. About a dozen other candidates will test their luck for different posts today.
Notably, former OCA secretary Behera, who is under judicial custody and undergoing treatment at the SCB Medical College and Hospital now, will cast his vote through a postal ballot for which he has obtained required permissions.
