Odisha creates 11,006 new posts of nursing officer

Bhubaneswar, Aug 19: Odisha government has created 11,006 new posts of nursing officer to make healthcare more efficient and effective. The decision to create these posts was taken on the directive of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. The posts will be filled in the headquarter hospitals of all the districts of the state along with the community health centres, maternity and pediatric centres and various medical colleges. All of these positions will be filled in two phases. These posts will be filled in accordance with the Odisha Nursing Service Rules 2018. Of these posts, 847 posts are for district headquarters hospitals, 5,400 in the group health centres, and 2,659 in the maternity and pediatric centres. In addition, 2,073 posts have been created in various medical college hospitals in the state.
