Bhubaneswar, July 3: With Odisha witnessing a significant uptick in daily Covid-19 cases, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) today announced that Covid test facility has been made available for the people in 25 Urban Primary Health Centres (UPHCs) and Urban Community Health Centres (UCHCs) in the city.
People can avail the testing facility at the centres between 9 am and 11.30 am and 5 pm and 7 pm every day. In addition to this, Covid test facility is also available between 8 am and 2 pm in Capital Hospital.
The civic body took to its official Twitter handle and shared the list of the Covid-19 testing centres and said, “Here is the list of #COVID19 Testing centres in Bhubaneswar. Get yourselves tested if you have any symptoms.”
Meanwhile, Odisha reported a sharp spike in Covid-19 cases with 346 people testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours, which took the active tally to 1310 on Sunday. Those infected include 49 in the below 18 years of age category.
Out of the total cases today, 202 persons are in quarantine while 144 are local contacts.
Khordha reported the maximum 189 new cases followed by Cuttack (51), Sundargarh (13), Sambalpur (5), Rayagada (5), Bhadrak (4) and Puri (4). The State Pool registered 41 cases.
At the same time, a total of 71 people recovered from the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of recoveries to 12,80,049 in Odisha. The state has conducted as many as 3,21,24,006 tests so far, out of which 12,90,538 have come out positive.
