Bhubaneswar, Feb 26: The infighting of Odisha Pradesh Congress resurfaced again as a clash broke out between two groups of Congress members at Congress Bhawan in Bhubaneswar ahead of the party’s OBC Cell meeting today.
According to reports, the OBC cell meeting was scheduled to be held at the party office today.
However, a clash broke out while a group opposed the former OBC Cell president in the presence of Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee president Niranjan Patnaik.
The supporters of former Tirtol MLA Chiranjib Biswal accused that the members belonging to the other camp of siding with ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) before the Tirtol By-election.
Responding to the incident, OPCC chief Patnaik said, “Stringent action will be taken against indiscipline workers after inquiry.”
