Bhubaneswar, June 9: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Tuesday approved an increase in the daily Duty Call-up Allowance (DCA) for Home Guards from ₹639 to ₹650.

According to an official statement, the revised allowance will be effective retrospectively from January 1, 2026. The hike will benefit Home Guards engaged in maintaining law and order and assisting in various public service activities across the state.

The increase follows an earlier revision on July 1, 2025, when the allowance was raised from ₹623 to ₹639. The latest enhancement comes after the state government announced a 2 percent increase in dearness allowance for regular employees with effect from January 1, 2026.

Taking the DA revision and related factors into consideration, the Chief Minister approved the fresh increase in the DCA, providing additional financial support to thousands of Home Guards serving across Odisha.
