Odisha CM Mohan Majhi flags off ‘Run for Unity’ Marathon in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, Odt 29: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi flagged off the ‘Run for Unity’ marathon at Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday morning to celebrate National Unity Day.

Over 2000 people from various schools and sports organisations of the state participated in the marathon. Majhi also interacted with school children and clicked photo with them.

The birth anniversary of Sardar Patel is observed as ‘Rashtriya Ekta Diwas’ on October 31. As this time Diwali falls October 31, the central government announced to organise the ‘Run for Unity’ on Tuesday on the occasion of Dhanteras.

Deputy Chief Minister Parvati Parida, Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari, Higher Education and Sports Minister Suryavansi Suraj, Health Minister Dr Mukesh Mahaling, Panchayat Raj Minister Ravi Narayan Naik, Ekamra MLA Babu Singh, BJP state president Manmohan Samal participated the event.
