Taking to his official ‘X’ handle, CM Majhi said RCB’s resilience, unity, and never-give-up spirit have defined a comeback story that will inspire fans for years.

“Heartiest congratulations to the @RCBTweets on a spectacular victory and an inspiring journey in #IPL2025 . May this momentum and fighting spirit propel you to even greater heights. Odisha joins your legion of fans in celebrating this unforgettable achievement,” he wrote in a post.

It is worth mentioning that Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) won their first-ever IPL title in 2025, defending a 190-run total against Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the final at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium.

This victory came after three previous final losses in 2009, 2012, and 2016.

RCB's batting started slow, losing key players early. Virat Kohli top-scored with 43, while other significant contributions came from Liam Livingstone (25) and Romario Shepherd (17). RCB finished with 190/9, with Arshdeep Singh taking crucial wickets in the final over.

In response, PBKS started well but lost wickets regularly. Josh Inglis scored 39, and Shashank Singh remained unbeaten on 50, but PBKS fell short, ending their innings at 184/7. RCB won by 6 runs, making them the 8th team to win the IPL title.
