Bhubaneswar, March 25: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has conveyed his heartfelt greetings on the occasion of the Rukuna Rath Yatra, dedicated to Lord Lingaraj, in Bhubaneswar.
The Rukuna Rath Yatra, also referred to as the 'Papa Binashani Yatra' (journey to destroy sins), is a significant annual event that takes place on Ashokastami. It marks the car festival of Lord Lingaraj, the revered deity of the 11th-century Lingaraj Temple.
The festivities commenced today, with the sacred idols of Lord Chandrasekhar, Rukmini, and Basudev being placed onto the chariot for the procession.
