Bhubaneswar, April 27: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today directed to closely monitor the oxygen supply logistics plan to ensure sufficient and timely supply of oxygen to the patients. Patnaik while reviewing Covid management also asked to ensure that the critical medicines are available to the patients whenever required. “This second wave has made us all realise that the Covid crisis may continue for a long time and we need to be prepared. Unless we observe the Covid appropriate protocols like wearing masks, washing hands, social distancing etc. we cannot tide over this crisis. I would like all of you take care of the covid warriors in the frontline,” he said. The CM also appealed people to wear a mask and ensure social distancing. “Our Doctors and medical staff are working hard to save lives. Its only when each one of us behaves responsibly that we can effectively fight this war against Covid. Our Government is trying its best to provide health care support, but then you should also help in reducing the burden on the hospitals. One infection reduced means one bed saved, one ICU saved, above all one avoids the agony of facing a life and death situation,” he added.
