Odisha CM directs to assess damage caused by cyclone Yaas within a week

Bhubaneswar, May 27: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today directed to assess the damage caused by cyclone Yaas within a week. The CM while reviewing the relief and restoration measures through video conferencing asked the authorities to expedite the restoration process. He asked the authorities to keep a close watch on the possible flood situation in Baitarani river. The CM appreciated all the district administrations for early preparedness, continuous monitoring of the situation, and quick restoration of water and electricity supply. Earlier Patnaik has made an aerial survey of the cyclone affected areas in the State. The Chief Minister conducted the aerial survey to assess the damage caused by the cyclone in districts of Bhadrak, Balasore, Kendrapara and other areas.
