Bhubaneswar, Jan 25: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday announced the opening of a special wing of the state police to probe crimes against women and children and approved as many as 62 posts for the special cell.
According to the CMO, the Chief Minister today approved 62 different posts for the special branch, including two special posts—cyber forensic and IT Expert.
The special wing will be headed by an IG rank officer.
The state government has also deployed two additional SPs, 10 DSPs, four inspectors, 10 sub-inspectors, eight ASIs and 14 constables. In addition, five ministerial staff posts have been approved.
Besides, five ministerial staff has also been approved for the special wing.
