Bhubaneswar, August 29: Odisha Chief Secretary Anu Garg reviewed the progress of major industrial investment projects in the state at Lok Seva Bhavan, stressing the need for their time-bound implementation.
Garg directed concerned departments, NALCO, the Adani Group and district administrations to work in close coordination and resolve project-related issues promptly.
District Collectors from Angul, Koraput, Rayagada, Malkangiri, Sundargarh, Cuttack and Bhadrak joined the meeting virtually.
The meeting reviewed major NALCO projects, including the brownfield expansion of its smelter and captive power plant and the Utkal D and E coal mines, along with issues related to land acquisition, rehabilitation, public hearings and infrastructure.
The progress of Adani Group investmentsin ports, industrial parks, power, aluminium, cement, coal gasification, data centres, mining and logistics was also discussed. Particular focus was placed on the expansion of Dhamra and Gopalpur portsand related infrastructure.
Garg emphasised faster government support on land, road and rail connectivity, CRZ clearances and other approvals to ensure large projects become operational at the earliest and contribute to investment, employment and economic growth in Odisha.
