Odisha Cabinet sets closure date for Subhadra Scheme registrations

Bhubaneswar, Jan 4: The Odisha State Cabinet has announced March 31, 2025, as the official deadline for registrations under the Subhadra scheme for the 2024-25 financial year.
The Cabinet also approved the list of 20,17,000 beneficiaries who received the first installment of financial assistance on November 24, 2024.
Launched on August 22, 2024, the Subhadra scheme is designed to empower women financially and offer safety nets to them and their families.
The scheme comes with a budget allocation of Rs. 55,825 crores over five years, aiming to impact millions across the state.
So far, more than 1.06 crore applications have been registered under the scheme. Of these, 80,29,741 applicants have been approved, with the first installment of Rs. 5,000 already disbursed.
The remaining applications are currently under review, with field inquiry teams actively verifying eligibility.
Registrations for the Subhadra scheme are still open, and applicants can submit their details until the cut-off date of March 31, 2025. The initiative continues to receive widespread attention as it strives to provide financial assistance to a vast number of women, promoting empowerment and social welfare across Odisha.
