​​​​​​​Bhubaneswar, Oct 25: The Odisha Cabinet on Saturday allocated funds worth Rs 512 crore for ‘Aahaar’ Scheme.

The State Cabinet has given its nod to the new scheme with a substantial outlay of Rs 512 crore.The allocation will be utilized within a period of five years, from 2025-26 to 2029-30.

The Aahaar scheme aims to provide subsidized meals to beneficiaries, ensuring its uninterrupted service.

The cost of each meal under the Aahaar scheme has been enhanced by Rs 3.It will cost Rs 5 for the beneficiaries. The government subsidy per meal has been increased from Rs 18 to Rs 22.
