Koraput, Dec 26: Odisha Vigilance sleuths on Thursday conducted simultaneous raids at eight locations linked to ARI-cum-In-charge RI of Kumuli Circle under Boriguma Tahsil in Koraput district on allegations of amassing disproportionate assets.

The accused has been identified as Surendra Tanti.

As per reports, a team of the Vigilance officials led by three DSPs, seven Inspectors, five ASIs, and other supporting staff, are carrying out simultaneous raids at eight places on the strength of search warrants issued by Special Vigilance Judge, Jeypore.

The raids are being carried out at the following places:

• Double-storeyed building at Boriguma
• Rented residential house of his daughter at Boriguma
• House in his native village Ranaspur
• House of his relative at Vill, Kamta under Boriguma police limits
• Two-storeyed building of his relative at Boriguma
• Two-storeyed market complex at Boriguma
• His building at Boriguma
• His office chamber at Kumuli, Boriguma

The raids are currently underway, and further details in this regard are awaited.
