Bhubaneswar, September 1: The Odisha BJP will observe a 15-day “Seva Pakhwada” from September 17 to October 2 to celebrate Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday, coinciding with Gandhi and Shastri Jayanti.

State BJP General Secretary Dr. Jatin Mohanty said the initiative reflects “service as duty” and will feature welfare, cultural, and awareness programmes.

Highlights include cleanliness drives, blood donation and health camps, exhibitions on PM Modi’s life, the “Vocal for Local” campaign, and competitions themed on Viksit Bharat. Special events include a coastal cleanliness drive (Sept 20), Modi Vikas Marathon (Sept 21), Deendayal Upadhyaya Jayanti (Sept 25), and Parliamentarian Sports Competition (Oct 2).

A preparatory workshop led by State BJP President Manmohan Samal, CM Mohan Charan Majhi, and senior leaders was held to ensure smooth execution, with similar sessions planned at district and mandal levels.
