Bhubaneswar, Nov 11: In the wake of a six-hour Odisha bandh called by Congress over the murder of Mamita Meher, the state government has asked its officials to reach offices by 9.30 am on Friday to felicitate their smooth entry.
The Home department has also asked the top officials to arrange security arrangements for Lok Seva Bhawan, Kharavela Bhawan, and the heads of the department buildings in the wake of six-hour Odisha bandh called by Congress tomorrow.
In a letter to all the additional chief secretaries, principal secretaries and special secretaries to the government, the Home department said the Pradesh Congress Committee and its front origination have proposed to observe a six-hour Odisha bandh on Friday over the murder of school teacher Mamita Meher.
“The front gates of the Lok Seva Bhawan will be closed at 10.15 am and all the passengers will be regulated through the rear gate. The connecting gate between the red building and the main Lok Seva Bhawan building will remain open. Security checks of identifying cards and passes of the employee and visitors will be intensified. traveling in a vehicle without car pass will not be permitted without valid authority for entry,” said the Home Department.
