Bhubaneswar, February 15: The Odisha Assembly was adjourned on Saturday till noon, following ruckus over farmers’ issues, chaoed by the oppositions BJD and BJP legislators.
Assembly Speaker Surama Padhi adjourned the House till 12 pm as the oppositions insisted on discussion over farmers' issues and law & order situation in the state amid other slated proceedings.
The second day of the Budget Session of the Odisha Assembly conducted on Friday had also witnessed an uproarious scene after the opposition BJD and Congress created a ruckus over several issues.
As soon as the house assembled for the day, the members of the BJD raised the issue of the closure of mandis in the state and Congress MLAs created ruckus over the deteriorating law and order situation in the state.
The members of both the parties stormed into the well and created a ruckus. As the pandemonium prevailed, Speaker Surama Padhy, unable to run the house, adjourned the proceedings till 12 pm.
