Bhubaneswar, Sept 11: The Higher Education Department, Odisha, has announced the schedule for Phase-II admission to the 4-Year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) for the academic session 2026-27 through the Student Academic Management System (SAMS).
As per the notification, the Common Application Form (CAF) will be available online from 1 PM on September 10 through the SAMS ITEP portal. The last date to submit the application is September 20 at 11:45 PM. Applicants can edit their CAF until the final date of submission.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants seeking admission to ITEP Phase-II must meet the following eligibility conditions:
Candidates must have appeared for NCET-2026 and possess a valid scorecard.
Candidates must have passed Higher Secondary (+2) or an equivalent examination in any stream from a recognised Board or University.
Candidates must have secured at least 50% aggregate marks in the +2 examination.
Candidates who participated or did not participate in Phase-I, including those who were selected, not selected, admitted or not admitted, are eligible to apply for Phase-II.
Applicants from Odisha as well as other States/UTs can apply. However, preference will be given to eligible Odisha applicants. Candidates from other states will be considered only if seats remain vacant after all eligible Odisha applicants have been considered.
Candidates who have not studied Odia as MIL at the HSC/10th level or as a subject at +2 level, or who have not passed the Odia examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha, can also apply.
However, such candidates will have to pass the BSE Odisha Class 10 Odia examination during the course period, before completing the ITEP.
Round-I Selection Schedule
The provisional seat allotment for Round-I, along with a waiting list in the ratio of 1:30 against vacancies available as on September 20, will be published on September 24 at 4 PM.
Selected candidates will have to report to their allotted institutions after downloading the intimation letter and paying the required fees. The reporting window will remain open from September 25 at 10 AM to September 28 at 5 PM, excluding holidays.
Document verification and data updation by the institutions will continue until 11:45 PM on September 28.
Spot Selection Round
Interested waitlisted candidates will have to physically report to their respective Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) for submission of the CAF and required documents from September 29 at 10 AM to September 30 at 2 PM. A representative with a valid identity card may also be permitted to report on behalf of a candidate.
The merit list of reported waitlisted candidates will be displayed on the concerned HEI notice board/website on October 1 at 2 PM. Candidates will also be informed through phone calls or SMS.
The process of document validation, final admission and fee payment will be conducted from October 3 at 10 AM to October 5 at 5 PM, excluding holidays.
If seats remain vacant, waitlisted candidates can report for admission from October 6 at 10 AM to October 7 at 5 PM. Admission updation in e-Space will be carried out from October 3 to October 7, with the process closing at 11:45 PM on October 7.
